Crossroad Technologies was started in 1987 when the “Latest & Greatest” was an IBM PC. Hard drives did not exist yet for personal computers. Think “floppy”. As in, the original 5 1/4″ disk in a sleeve that was actually floppy! Two of these bad boys meant you could load DOS from one and use the other one for documents. You were really living now! State of the art 
Well, hard drives came along not much later. My first was a whopping 8 MBs!! Also a 5 1/4″ full height device. Heavy too!
As time flies by… we are looking at drives that get bigger every day! Two Terabyte drives are the order of the day now with bigger ones coming.
